A small garden is the heart of the new semi-detached house in the village of Kalamos. The main unit is developed on two levels surrounding the garden, while a smaller apartment has an independent entrance from the street.

As the main house has no view of the public space at all, the small courtyard becomes its reference point. A vertical garden that expands minimal planting next to a narrow water feature into the feel of a larger yard. In this way the yard with the green wall becomes a place of contemplation, a small outdoor space that introduces natural landscape qualities into the domestic environment.
