Waterfront Terracesis a cultural building that combines interior cultural functions with a publicly accessible rooftop. Situated at the edge of the city and the waterfront, the building is integrated into the ground, preserving open sightlines toward the historic surroundings.
The terraced roof is the centerpiece of public experience. Inspired by ancient Greek theaters, it forms a unifying structure that offers accessible public space and a collective viewing horizon. Marble surfaces connect the project to the local materiality, while subtle lighting enhances the roof’s form at night.
Interior cultural spaces are embedded into the terrain, creating a protected and focused environment. The design leverages natural light and thermal stability, incorporating passive strategies for sustainability.
The composition transforms the rooftop into a public viewing terrace, linking the city with the water and emphasizing the historic horizon.
